From October 2009 Crossroads Care East Kent will be covering the whole area of East Kent, which includes the new area of Ashford, Folkestone, Shepway, Dover & Deal that was previously served by  the South East Kent scheme. Our current area encompasses the Isles of Sheppey and Thanet, the City of Canterbury and surrounding rural villages, the coastal towns of Whitstable and Herne Bay where our office premises are, and the Swale towns of Sittingbourne and Faversham.

Our Carer Support workers will now be spread across seven teams delivering approximately 50,000 hours of support in carers’ homes to around 500 families each year!

The scheme continues to work together with Canterbury Parkinson’s Disease Society, Kent County Council - Social Services, We are Macmillan. Cancer Support and the Eastern and Coastal Primary Care Trust to deliver services throughout East Kent. Like all CROSSOADS CARE schemes we are registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection and were graded as EXCELLENT at our last inspection.  We also continue to meet level 3 of the CROSSROADS CARE's own quality assurance scheme, CROQUET.
