Welcome to Crossroads Care Central & South Buckinghamshire Who Are We?
Crossroads Care Central & South Bucks formed in October 2007 further to the merger of our Aylesbury, High Wycombe and South East Bucks Crossroads Schemes. Since then we have steadily grown and currently employ around 80 carer support workers providing approximately 6000 care hours per month to people in the central and South of Buckinghamshire.
Our Aim
Central & South Bucks Crossroads aims to promote, support and deliver high quality services for carers and people with care needs. Our services are flexible and designed to meet carers needs day, night, evenings and weekends. We strive to:
1. Relieve stress in families and carers who are looking after individuals
2. Avoid carers having to admit their cared for person into a hospital or residential home
3. Supplement and compliment not to replace existing services
Who Are Our Clients?
Every client situation is unique depending on the needs of the person we go into. We cater for a wide spectrum of clients from babies to people of 100 years old who have a range of disabilities or illness's, and that may require practical support, emotional support or both. A more detailed list of our services can be found under the 'Services' section of our microsite.
Our Staff
All of our staff complete a thorough training programme that helps them become extraordinary Carer Support Workers. We thoroughly check the background of all of our staff and complete Enhanced CRB and POVA (Protection of Vulnerable Adults) checks prior to them commencing work. Regular training forms an important part of the Carer Support Workers role, and we pride ourselves on providing not only ongoing mandatory training but also more specialist training in areas specific to each client, such as dementia care. We also require all staff to undertake their NVQ 2 qualification in Health & Social Care as part of their ongoing personal development.
A Resource You Can Trust
Our dependability and quality of care have earned a deep level of trust with our clients, family members, health, medical and social services staff. Our scheme is registered with the Care Quality Commission www.cqc.org.uk and complies with their legal requirements under the Domiciliary Care Standards Regulations. We also have a quality Assurance System to monitor our policies and procedures which includes an annual audit. |
