Welcome to Crossroads Care Waveney

Do you or someone you know care (without payment), for a partner, child, relative, friend or neighbour, who could not manage without your help.  This could be due to age, physical or mental illness, addiction or disability. If so we may be able to help.

Here at Crossroads Care - Waveney we offer support to Carers and people with care needs throughout the Waveney area of Suffolk and have been offering support services since 1982. Our services are aimed to relieve the stresses experienced by carers and people with care needs.

If your situation meets the criteria set out by our funders or our own charitable funds there is no charge for services.

We have a lovely centre that has a relaxed welcoming environment, it is contemporarily furnished with full downstairs accessible facilities and specialist equipment including hoist. These facilities enable us to offer services to Carers and people with care needs in the centre as well in their own homes -

We aim to offer continuity of staff throughout our quality services - please see service section.

How to get help

Referrals can be received from Carers, families, health workers, Social services and other professionals as well as private individuals, and through direct payments and individual budgets.

Just ring us on 01502 574570 and we will take some details from you.

We will arrange to visit you in your own home to discuss your requirements  and prepare a person centred care plan tailored to your needs.  We appreciate it is sometimes a difficult time for people; our staff are understanding and respectful of this.

Staff Training

Our team of Carer Support Workers are paid trained staff who are police checked and work under the supervision of the Operations Manager.  All staff follow a continuing and ongoing comprehensive training programme, many have NVQ 2 and 3 in care or are studying for this qualifications.

The Care Quality Commission (formley Commission for Social Care)

Waveney Crossroads is registered with the Care Quality Commission.(CQC)  The CQC is the single independent inspectorate for all social care services in England and is responsible for regulating social care services to ensure they meet national standards and the needs of those using the service. As part of the regulation, the commission inspects all social care services annually. Waveney Crossroads has been inspected by CQC and received an ‘excellent’ exceeding standards required.  Our inspection report is available online at www.cqc.org.uk
