Welcome to Crossroads Care Braintree District & Chelmsford
Crossroads Care Braintree District & Chelmford is a non profit making voluntary organisation. We work in the community offering physical and emotional support to the growing number of adults and young people who provide unpaid care to people affected by disability, age, illness or mental ill health. We believe that with a little help and wherever possible people should be given the opportunity to continue to live in their own homes. We understand the importance of making sure that family carers are supported themselves. We can help carers achieve this by providing a break for a few hours each week, whilst we take care of the person they are caring for.
We are an approved care provider for Essex County Council under the Social Services contract and the Early Invention scheme.
How it all works
We have an 'open referral' system so anyone can contact us and ask for our help. Our Care Manager will come to your home and assess your individual care needs.
As a carer or someone with care needs you may be entitled to funding. We can request a Carer's Assessment on your behalf, a Carer's Assessment simply assesses your needs and identifies what help is available for you. In the meantime whilst this is being arranged we can provide care support under the Essex County Council's Early Intervention funding scheme.
Donations
Whilst we receives grants from health and local authority, these grants are never guaranteed and only help towards our overall costs, so much of our costs are raised through fundraising. Crossroads Care and the Carers we support appreciate any donations we receive from the local community. If you would like to support us with a donation, no matter how big or small you can send a cheque to: Crossroads Care Braintree District & Chelmsford, 8 Park Farm, Witham Road, Braintree, Essex, CM778LQ. All donations received will be acknowledged.
If you would like to leave a legacy to Crossroads Care, please ask your Solicitor to include our details as above in your Will including our Charity Number 1059393.
